Winter can be tough on moms with little ones. It’s hard to keep toddlers entertained when cold temperatures keep us stuck indoors. Let us help you out!

Here are some great indoor play places in the Knoxville area that cater to our little guys and gals:

We Rock The Spectrum Kid’s Gym

This gym is an inclusive play environment for children of all ages and abilities. They offer special equipment for different sensory-related challenges. You can follow them on Facebook and Instagram for daily hours for open play.

Poppet’s Play Place

Children up to age 7 can play here, and they even have a special area for “cruisers and crawlers”. They have several weekly events including “Music and Movement” on Tuesdays and “Sensory Safe Wednesday”.

Smart Toys and Books

Smart Toys and Book is a toy store that has its own interactive playground that includes a toddler safe area. They offer three two-hour play sessions most days, but be sure to call ahead to reserve your spot. They sometimes fill up fast!

Muse Knoxville

The Muse is Knoxville’s very own children’s museum. Your toddler will be entertained here with a variety of activities. Be sure to check out their special events page and Instagram.

Little Valley Play Cafe

This play place has so many areas for your toddler to explore. There is a Tiny Town where they can play make-believe, a Little Valley Park where they can work on gross motor skills, a STEM area for learning, and a Jungle Jumparoo kid-safe trampoline. There is also an area just for children ages 2 and under that includes slides, sensory climbing toys, and more. Plus, there is a café and lounge for parents to enjoy.

Kid Zone

Located in Powell, Kid Zone offers an indoor playground and play town for ages 0 to 12. For their weekly open play hours, follow them on their Facebook and Instagram.

Farragut Community Center

On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-11 am, Farragut Community Center offers Toddler Takeover. It’s a guardian-supervised indoor playtime that allows children (walking age to 5) to explore with age-appropriate equipment. The cost is only $2 per child.

The Wild Child Café

Children can play and explore while parents enjoy a coffee or soda from the café. It is suitable for children who are crawlers up to 8 years of age. They offer daily play passes, monthly membership, and annual membership options.

Playtime in the Plains

They have something for everyone with their cozy reading area, arts and crafts, slides, and more. There is even a soft play zone for the littles. Plus, you can enjoy their coffee and snack bar to make it an even better experience. You can check them out on Facebook and their website for more info.
