East Tennessee is a wonderful place to enjoy the great outdoors. One great way to spend time outside is by visiting an area fishing hole. We have compiled a list of some of our favorites.
Knoxville Area Fishing Spots
There is a 7.7 acre duck pond for fishing. They also offer a class on basic fly rod casting for ages 12 and up that you can register for here.
A boat ramp offers access for fishing.
This park offers a fishing pier to fish from.
According to their website, the TVA has recorded 28 different species of fish in Melton Hill Lake which makes it a perfect spot to try to land a big catch.
The park has two piers you can fish from.
Anchor Park has two fishing piers that are perfect for some fishing fun. Anchor Park also hosts the Bob Watt Youth Fishing Rodeo every spring where kids can fish and compete for prizes.
Located in nearby Gatlinburg, Herbert Holt has designated “children only” fishing areas. The park also provides a handicap-accessible fishing pier within this section of children only fishing.
This park offers fishing opportunities and picnic tables in case you want to do a picnic lunch on your fishing day.
