There is one parenting issue on which all moms and dads can agree: water safety. Whether you’re by a pool, lake or ocean, we all want our children to be safe. One of the best ways to prepare your children for those situations is to make sure they know how to swim.
Fortunately, East Tennessee has lots of options for swimming lessons. Knoxville is now home to a swimming school and several local gyms also offer lessons. Many of those gyms do not require you to be a member to sign your child up for lessons, however, the lesson may cost more for non-members. In addition, there are several individuals who offer lessons at local pools. You even have choices about the type of lesson, ranging from traditional to survival swim lessons, also known as infant swimming resource or “ISR.”
