After what has felt like a long winter, spring is finally sprouting in East Tennessee! You can spot daffodils, crocus and Lenten roses along with flowering trees like redbuds in early to mid-March. In recent years, several have cropped up in our region. Now these farmers are throwing open their gates to welcome you and your family. All of the farms on our Knoxville Moms list offer you-pick and pre-cut bouquets. Some even offer special children’s activities! Be sure to check in advance before making the trip to an area farm. As you know, spring weather in East Tennessee can be fickle. Big changes in temperatures can impact the flower crop. I manage Clementine’s Flower Farm in Northeast Knoxville. We are a heritage farm dating back to 1929. You will find our fresh bouquets; with seasonal flowers like peony, ranunculus, daffodil, lisianthus, snapdragon, zinnia, sunflower, dahlia, pincushion, sweet pea, and so much more; at the Downtown Knoxville Farmer’s Market every saturday from May-October, at Wrenhouse Bakery and Three Rivers Market throughout the week, and in partnership with Kibodeaux Bread Co. at other special markets and events throughout the year.
On the farm we offer classes, workshops, events, and u-pick throughout the growing season(Usually May-October) as well as seed sales for anyone wanting to try their hand at growing their own.
