Speech-language therapy is beneficial for both children and adults who experience difficulty with communication and/or feeding. Parents develop concerns when their child is not progressing at the rate of his/her peers. Spouses and caregivers seek referrals if their loved one is struggling to recall and express thoughts. Doctors will order speech therapy evaluations when signs of communication struggle are noticeable. Finding speech therapy in Knoxville then becomes a priority.
Some physicians may recommend a speech-language evaluation be conducted at a specific facility. However, individuals are often required to independently begin a Google search to seek their own provider, then weed through options and waiting lists.

Associates in Pediatric Therapy (APT) is another great speech therapy option for many families. Our daughter has gone there for a couple of years and we love her SLP! They offer Speech, OT and PT.
