Knoxville Coffee ShopsThe Knoxville area has so many great coffee shops to choose from.  Whether you need a quick caffeine fix or a relaxing latte with a friend, there is a coffee shop here for you. Plus, many of them offer delicious treats to accompany your cup of coffee.

Starbucks will work in a pinch, but these local coffee shops add some extra fun to your coffee experience:

Knoxville 

Awaken Coffee There are two locations- 125 W. Jackson Ave and at the Kerns Food Hall. Hand-crafted coffee, tea and delicious pastries.

Camp Honey Coffee  Located across from Lakeshore Park at 5819 Lyons View Pike, this new coffee shop offers more than just coffee. There are locally made muffins and other breakfast pastries along with lunch items that are perfect for a picnic in the park.  Camp Honey also makes all of its own coffee syrups, which is a rarity.

Coffee and Chocolate Now with three locations at Market Square, West Hills, and in Powell, Coffee and Chocolate is a favorite place to stop in for a treat and a great cup of coffee. They offer a variety of delicious macarons and chocolates. You can check out their menu and even order some of their items online for pickup or delivery.

CommonPlace Coffee + Community Located in South Knoxville on Chapman Hwy. They offer space you can rent to host events and meetings. You can check out their menu here.

Cultivate Coffee & Flowers — Located at 5221 N Broadway. Coffee and flowers is a perfect combo, and this coffee shop is a collaboration between Likewise Coffee and Flourish Flowers.  They offer a great coffee menu and you can even order your coffee ahead.

Dutch Bros Coffee They have several locations all around the Knoxville area. Their menu includes everything from coffee classics, to energy drinks, to shakes and smoothies, and even sparkling sodas.

The Empty Cup Located at 9111 Executive Park Dr. The Empty Cup is a non-profit coffeehouse, with a special focus on great coffee, the Knoxville community, and adoption. They proudly serve Just Love Coffee, a coffee roasting company located in Murfreesboro, TN, with a heart for helping those in need. All proceeds from The Empty Cup go towards creating adoption grants and providing adoption education in Knoxville and throughout Tennessee. Visit their Facebook page here.

Fable Hollow Coffee and Bookshoppe Located at 2910 Tazewell Pike, Suites A and B.  This coffee shop brings together the cozy and perfect combination of books and coffee. What’s not to love? They also offer fun events like story time for adults. You can check them out on Facebook and on their Instagram.

Five & Hoek Coffee Co.— Located 200 W Magnolia Avenue. Their coffee and tea menu is curated seasonally which means there is always something yummy to try. On the first Friday of every month they host a free coffee tasting.

Honeybee Coffee They have two locations: 10716 Kingston Pike and 700 Sevier Ave. They have an extensive coffee menu and serve tasty breakfast and lunch items. Follow them on Instagram  to keep up with their events and latest offerings.

Intrepid Nitro Coffee and Tea Bar— Located in Bearden at 5201 Kingston Pike, Unit 6. They are a craft brewery for coffee and tea. Their menu includes cocktails, coffee and tea.

Jack’s Located at 854 N Central St and at 133 S Gay Street. Along with coffee drinks, they also have plants for sale. You can find their menu here and you can follow them on their Facebook and Instagram.

K Brew Four Locations: 1138 N Broadway; 7822 Kingston Pike; 507 S Gay St and 1000 Ebenezer Rd (This location has a drive-thru). Along with amazing coffee, they also have delicious bagels and breakfast sandwiches. They offer a ‘Power Hour’ from 5pm-6pm on Monday through Friday where you can get $1 drip coffee, $1 cappuccinos, $1 bagels, and $6 baker’s dozen bagels.

Life House Coffee Located at 7545 Brickyard Road. Life House Coffee exists as a place where the community can connect. It is locally owned by Michael and Jihan Cox. They serve espresso, coffee, smoothies, sweets, and anytime food. You can view their menu here.

Likewise Coffee — Located in East Knoxville at 1209 E Magnolia Avenue. Proceeds go toward their ministry, Raising A Voice, which fights against human trafficking. They have event space available to rent for meetings or other gatherings.

Mahalo Coffee Roasters — They have two locations: In Powell at 1317 East Emory Rd and in Downtown Knoxville at 513 Union Ave. They have a great coffee menu and offer a coffee subscription service.

Maple Street Biscuit Company Two locations in Knoxville: 10837 Hardin Valley Road and 9314 Kingston Pike. While this isn’t only a coffee shop, I felt like it HAD to be included on our coffee list. Not only are their biscuits sinfully delicious, but their coffee is ON POINT every single time.

Morning Dove Coffee— Morning Dove Coffee is a new coffee truck that you can find around Knoxville. Check out their Facebook and Instagram to find out their next stop. They have a tasty menu that’s sure to give you your caffeine fix.

Old City Java Located at 109 S Central St. Old City Java offers direct trade coffees, baked goods and is a great place to unwind and listen to an amazing local band or two, or observe local artwork.

Partial Coffee & Wine— Located at 828 N Broadway #201. You can buy their coffee online. Be sure to follow them on Instagram.

Perk City Located at 3229 E Magnolia Ave. The coffee shop is dedicated to creating a sense of community in the Park City neighborhood so you’ll find many people working, hanging out, and getting to know one another. There are photos on the wall showing the history of the neighborhood and celebrating its life and culture. The owner has started a Pay It Forward board where customers can buy a drink or snack for someone who may not be able to afford it. Don’t miss the infamous Incredibite, the shop’s in-house baked monkey bread! Yum! You can find their menu here.

Petty Coffee— Located at 215 Brookview Centre Way Ste 107. Their menu offers a premium coffee selection and a variety of pastries and bagels.

Primo Passo Coffee— Located at 2099 Thunderhead Rd, Suite 103. Their menu includes coffee, sweet treats, and bagels from Potchke Bagels.

Reef Coffee— Located with Hurricane Cycles in Farragut on West End Ave. You can stop in before or after a nice bike ride for coffee and a treat. Plus, their beans are roasted locally at Vienna Coffee.

Seed Coffee Co.— Located on Sutherland Avenue. They offer coffee, bagels and breakfast sandwiches. Seed also has event space available.

Scooter’s They have locations all over Knoxville. They have tasty treats that go great with their coffee.

Sienna Bakehouse Cafe— Located at 8373 Kingston Pike #400b. They offer delicious coffee and treats. You can follow them on their Instagram and Facebook.

Summer Moon Located in Farragut at 104 North Campbell Station Road. They have wonderful coffee and are known for their signature “Moon Milk.” Check out their Facebook page here.

Sunago Coffee Co. Located at 10736 Hardin Valley Road. Along with coffee, they offer local ice cream and milkshakes and local food from Knoxville businesses. They support local makers by giving them space in their shop and letting them keep 100% of their profits.

Treetop Coffee Located at 1206 Kenesaw Avenue. They partner with a different organization each month to help make a difference in the community. Be sure to check out their Facebook and Instagram.

U Brew Coffee-– Located at 114 Carr St. This unique coffee shop is all about getting you involved in the coffee making process with a hands-on and multi-sensory experience. You can try out various coffee making equipment and choose from 25+ beans from around the country. You can come by Tuesday through Sunday for a “cupping journey” or book a special coffee journey.

Velocity Coffee & Roasters  Located in Powell at 7107 Clinton Highway. Coffee is roasted in-house daily, giving customers a seriously fresh cup of coffee. Velocity has a drive-thru making it convenient to grab a cup. There is also indoor and outdoor seating for those who would like to sit and sip awhile.

Wild Love Bakehouse Located at 1625 N. Central St. This adorable coffee shop and bakehouse has several delightful and delicious things on their menu. Visit their Facebook page here.

Wrenhouse Bakery Located in Fountain City at 3023 Tazewell Pike and they also have a Corryton location at 7404 Tazewell Pike. They offer a variety of delicious baked goods along with their coffee. Be sure to check them out on Facebook and Instagram.


Lenoir City

Coffee CultureLocated at 560 Hwy 321 N, Suite D. This mother-daughter owned and operated coffee shop offers a variety of specialty coffee drinks along with the more traditional coffee options.

Riverside Coffee Shop — Located at 16239 Hwy 70 E. This place is wonderful and not just because they serve great coffee. They offer “…a vocational training program that promotes community inclusion and social interaction utilizing the coffee shop as a teaching platform. These new skills will lead to a more independent and productive lifestyle for teens and young adults diagnosed with Autism and other developmental differences.” So if you’re looking to support a great cause, be sure to stop by. Ramblin’ Joe’s Coffee  Located at 108 S. B Street Ramblin’ Joe’s (formerly Ugly Mug Coffee) serves breakfast, lunch, pastries and, of course, delicious coffee. It’s modeled after Ramblin’ Joe’s in Memphis. There is a drive-thru for moms on the go. When the weather is warm, the patio is a nice spot, especially when the kiddos are in tow. (There’s plenty of seating inside too.) Ramblin’ Joe’s is open seven days a week and often hosts local musicians in the evening. When you go, don’t forget to pick up a punch card so you can start working your way to a free coffee! Love your brew? Take it home to enjoy! Maryville

Beard Brothers Coffee Company— Located at 1105 E Broadway Ave. Their coffee beans are roasted in-house in small batches, and they use only organic, hand-crafted syrups, organic spices, locally sourced milk, and local honey. You can check out their coffee menu, and they offer breakfast and lunch options.

Capitol Theatre Coffee & Ice Cream  Located at 127 W. Broadway Ave. The Capitol Theatre specializes in gourmet coffee and espresso drinks.  Other treats are also available like ice cream desserts, floats and shakes, candy and smoothies.  Movie fans will love checking out all the memorabilia while listening to classic movie soundtracks. Southern Grace Coffee Co. Located at 312 Tedford Street, Maryville, TN. They offer fresh baked goods and organically sourced, fair-trade coffee. Check out their awesome menu.

Vienna Coffee Located in Downtown Maryville and at Maryville College. Stop in for free internet, a cozy atmosphere and freshly baked goods. There is also a great selection of retail coffee to choose from, fresh from the Vienna Coffee Company! They have live music and open mic nights, so check out special events! Oak Ridge

Bud’s Farmhouse CoffeeLocated at 1151 Oak Ridge Turnpike. They serve coffee as well as espresso drinks, homemade yogurt, sandwiches, and sweets.

Calamity’s Coffee Located at 219 Jackson Square and as a collaboration with Millborne Bakery at 1968 Oak Ridge Turnpike. They have a great coffee selection that includes several specialty drinks. You can follow them on their Facebook and Instagram accounts to find out about special events.
