Folks, we are now 12 weeks into 2018. You know, the time when spring hits and it occurs to you that you haven’t started working on your resolutions. The resolutions you vowed three months ago that you would get organized, stop eating junk food, or start working out. Just me?
Well, THE TIME IS NOW! Organization and not eating junk can wait.
Every January, gym memberships soar and the gym gets crowded with eager, motivated souls that just know this is the year they are going to get fit. Often, people get discouraged for one reason or another — the weight loss isn’t happening quickly enough or life gets busy, or their workout is BORING.
Over the last six years, I have ran four half marathons and birthed two babies. I wouldn’t say I’m fit; I enjoy pizza too much {see my resolutions above…that’s for another day}. Training for a half marathon is often months of training consisting of hours of alone time either on the sidewalk, on the trails, or on the treadmill. All the mothers of the world are praising alone time, but y’all, two hours of cardio alone is BORING.
{Insert harps blaring.}
I have found the best way to curb the boring — group exercise classes at Gold’s Gym!
Blaring music, someone telling you what to do {and someone who prevents me from giving up and walking out} and promoting good form, and other people to meet and laugh with as you sweat out all that delicious junk food. Still just me?
Gold’s Gym offers the best selection of group exercise classes! They offer something for any level of gym rat as well as option for the weight lifter, booty shaker, or cardio queen.
Group exercise classes offered at Gold’s Gym include:
Cycling
Barre
High-Energy Cardio
Martial Arts
Step Workouts
30-minute High Intensity Interval Training
Abs
Yoga
Zumba
Aqua Zumba
Weight Lifting
I absolutely love group exercise classes because they hold me accountable. I love having an instructor to lead the workout, push me to my limit and encourage me to push myself, and again, there is zero chance I would walk out mid-workout due to anything less than an emergency {the definition of “emergency” is quite fluid}. Also, I have had the chance to meet other women similar to me and we have the chance to laugh and not hear “mommy” 539,058 times during the hour of class. WORTH IT. I also love the variety of the class offerings available at Gold’s Gym.
If you resolved to get active this year, it’s time to take the plunge! Come out and sweat with me, laugh at me, and get yourself moving! The group classes are welcoming and there is no need to feel intimidated. Gold’s Gym also offers childcare! There are no more reasons to put off your workout.
