I’ve Been Influenced: Products I’ve Purchased Due To Influencer Marketing

I've Been Influenced: Products I've Purchased Due To Influencer MarketingI’m a SAHM of two toddlers, with a baby on the way. Most of the influencer accounts I follow revolve around early motherhood and wellness, and the majority of these purchases reflect those interests.

These are the products I’ve purchased that I (my kids) actually use and like!

Puffy Stickers: I spend a lot of time doing table activities with my two-year-old and one-year-old. Playing with stickers is great for building fine motor skills and this type of play qualifies as sensory play. I like these stickers because my 20-month-old can manipulate them by himself AND they are pretty much mess-free and easy to unstick from any unwanted surface. We go through these very quickly!

Munchkin Faucet Extender: I was on the fence about purchasing this because I didn’t think it was totally necessary, but it has made toddler handwashing less of a mess and has given my almost three-year-old more independence.

Bath Toys & Organizer: We went a long time without many bath toys other than bubbles and a cup fill and dump. To save my sanity in the winter months, I often make bathtime a long, fun activity for my kids. They are contained and occupied, and I can supervise and relax for a second (or multitask and fold laundry, iykyk!). Here are a few influencer-approved toys to make bathtime more of an experience: Spinner Toys, Go Pals Cubes, Watering Can SetSuction Toys, Star Projector Light.

Magnetic Building Sticks: We have “building time” every day and have so many types of blocks to choose from, but I love these ones. They are perfect for my almost three-year-old and she will work with them during her quiet time for up to 45 minutes. One caveat is I would not suggest them for toddlers still in a throwing phase…unless I am very hands-on with him, my son (20 months) will just chuck the balls across the room.

Avanchy Stainless Steel Bowls: These are pricey, but worth the investment. We use them at every meal. They suction to the table, are super durable, non-toxic, dishwasher safe, and the lid makes it easy to store uneaten food. I don’t like the Avanchy plates as much because they are pretty shallow and hard for a toddler to work with. There are other brands though that have a deeper plate option.

Re-Lyte Electrolyte Powder: I was influenced to purchase this at the start of my third pregnancy, determined to stay hydrated while also chasing around my two toddlers. I use the unflavored option, which is made with real salt and has a natural salty flavor. If this doesn’t sound appealing to you, choose one of the other flavored options! As far as I can tell, this has helped me maintain hydration and get plenty of electrolytes to support me through pregnancy.

Boka Toothpaste & Tongue Scraper: I was in the market for a fluoride-free toothpaste, and I found the Boka brand. It’s clean and easy to order from Amazon. Compared to other clean options on the market, the price isn’t horrible. I added the tongue scraper, because apparently, we should all add this step to our oral hygiene routine. Chris Loves Julia x Loloi Rugs: A good rug can define a space. I have a few Loloi Rugs throughout my home, but I particularly love the Chris Loves Julia product line. The brand is sold pretty much everywhere: Wayfair, Amazon, Walmart, HomeGoods, Home Depot, Rugs Direct, etc. I have NEVER paid full price for a rug in my home, so make sure you wait for a good deal to purchase! One of my most recent purchases was this pretty olive runner, called the “Scottie” rug. A home design influencer led me to it, of course!

Frother: Most people probably have this in their kitchens, but I didn’t until recently. I use it for mixing my electrolytes every morning and magnesium powder every evening. A simple, affordable purchase that I’m happy I made after watching an influencer go through the 15 different supplement drinks she consumes every morning.

Branch Basics Cleaning Supplies: I’ve been using the Branch Basics Concentrate for a few years now as an all-purpose cleaner, bathroom cleaner, and kid’s laundry soap. I originally purchased it a few years ago when I started to focus on swapping some of my household products for safer, non-toxic options. The concentrate may seem expensive, but it goes a LONG way. For an all-purpose cleaner, you only need 1 part concentrate to 11 parts water. For Christmas, I asked for the refill kit after seeing an influencer post about the powdered laundry detergent and dishwasher pods, and I’m liking these products so far. I’m not sure if I will keep purchasing them or just continue to use the concentrate, because it really does work for everything!

Adidas Shoes: I’ve basically been pregnant or postpartum for four years straight which has made dressing myself a little more difficult. However, throwing on a cute pair of tennis shoes can really enhance any outfit, whether it’s a matching sweat set or even a dress. I have Adidas shoes in a few colors and always get compliments on them. They make me feel put together even at eight months pregnant. You can usually find them pretty cheap at Kohl’s!

Hair Wax Stick: This one is simple. A postpartum must-have for those pesky fly-aways! Lasts forever, easy to use and travel with!

Canopy Humidifier: The jury is still out on this one because I’ve only had it for two weeks. So far, I like that the humidifier doesn’t release mist and has a built-in white noise option. It also has the ability to diffuse essential oils, which I haven’t done yet. Most importantly, the device is supposed to inhibit mold growth and be easy to clean in the dishwasher. You do have to replace the filter every six weeks, so that is a cost worth considering. The humidifier is not cheap to begin with, compared to more basic options on the market (tip: they are FSA/HSA eligible).

What are some of your favorite products that you’ve been influenced to buy?
