Knox County residents can visit the Sunsphere for FREE on select dates in 2026!
If you have a Knox County driver’s license, you will be able to take a complimentary visit to the Fourth Floor Observation Deck of the Sunsphere on the first Fridays of the month from May to October, excluding July. These First Fridays include the following dates:
- May 1
- June 5
- August 7
- September 4
- October 2
Admission is first come, first serve and every thirty minutes the Observation Deck allows up to 40 visitors. The Sunsphere will also be open until 6pm on these local days!
Don’t have a Knox County driver’s license? That’s ok! If you visit during National Travel and Tourism week from May 3-9, admission is discounted to $8 for adult tickets and $3 for children 12 and under.
To get the deal for locals, Visit Knoxville says visitors should purchase tickets from www.sunspheretickets.com, and use the code “NTTW26” beginning on May 1. You can also purchase tickets in person at the Sunsphere welcome center.
Take advantage of this local’s deal and go check out the Knoxville skyline staple!
