I’ve definitely been on a Knoxville kick lately. This is the first year I’ve been back after living in Chattanooga for a while so I’ll blame it on that fact and the sweet weather we’ve been having lately.
For all you folks who might be looking for something new to eat or do or see in K-Town, here’s my list of favorites:
1. Hanging out with Gray at New Harvest Park. With a splash pad, walking path and public garden, I just can’t get enough!
2. The Rasta tacos at Shuck Raw Bar. So fresh and delicious.
3. Seeing the sunflowers in bloom during a hike at Ijams Nature Center. Not sure if they’re out yet but there’s always something cool and magical about Ijams any time of year.
4. Hiking House Mountain. We have yet to take Gray to this spot Matt and I spent so much time visiting in college.
5. The Scout cocktail at Peter Kern Library. Just ask for it. You won’t regret a thing.
6. Brunch at The Plaid Apron. Any day of the week.
7. Grabbing a VGs Bakery cookie (the chewy ginger is my all-time favorite!) while perusing the shops at the Knoxville Farmers Market in Market Square.
8. Making a day out of vising the Knoxville Museum of Art, playing at the dreamy Fort Kid park and walking around the Chocolate Factory and World’s Fair Park.
9. Sitting around with my computer and a cup of coffee at Old City Java.
10. My own backyard, with Gray sitting in my lap and Matt by my side. LOVE.
What are some of your Knoxville favorites? And be sure to visit me at Mouse In Your House, where I blog about Knoxville as well and love to connect with new readers.
I will definitely have to check some of these out. I love Knoxville! Walking through Sequoia and spending time on the docks at Carl Cowan are some of our favorite spring and summer things. And Plaid Apron is awesome! Best bacon in town.
Carl Cowan looks AWESOME! I’ve never been and will have to visit soon. Thanks for sharing! 😉 And I love their bacon too, so much yum
I haven’t heard of half of these. Well definitely have to try!
I have never been to the Plaid Apron but the owner is actually from my hometown which is a very small town! I need to get down there and check it out!
