I love Valentine’s Day and I always have. Pink is my favorite color and I will never get tired of getting flowers (yes, I know they’re overpriced and will die in a couple days, but it doesn’t matter because they’re pretty). I love chocolate, wine, candlelit dinners — pretty much anything you can think of. When it comes to Valentine’s Day, I am all about it. I love taking my kids on Valentine’s dates to Chick-fil-A or getting ice cream with them and making them feel special, and I appreciate a good kid-free Valentine’s dinner with my husband too.
But this year, I’ve been really appreciating celebrating the holiday with some of my best gal pals and having a few Galentine’s celebrations that have been so much fun.
One of these Galentine’s events was a cocktail party I was able to attend with my at Walnut Springs Winery, located at 1175 Midway Rd, Knoxville, TN 37914. Tickets to this event were $42 and came with four different cocktails served throughout the event and your very own charcuterie board.
The four cocktails we got to try throughout the evening were:
- Mint To Be Mojito: the winery’s blush muscadine wine paired with fresh lime juice, mint, and strawberries.
- Lover’s Lemondrop: the winery’s blueberry wine with some fresh lemon juice.
- Cupid’s Cotton Candy Spritzer (and my personal favorite): cotton candy wine with fresh lemon juice and a citrus seltzer added.
- Marry Me Margarita: strawberry wine with fresh strawberries, lime, and orange juice.
These cocktails were all wonderful and presented so beautifully. We were also given a personal charcuterie boards with sweet, salty, and savory snacks to pair with the drinks. The winery had the best girls’ night playlist for this event and a lot of beautiful decor as well. It truly was a special evening! If you weren’t able to attend the week prior to Valentine’s Day, no big deal, as they also have a post-Valentine’s Day Galentine’s Cocktail Party coming up on February 21 from 6-8pm that you could attend as well. For this event, tickets are $42. I would highly recommend checking it out. You can sign up here to reserve your spot.
If you’re not so much a Valentine’s girl, that’s ok too because Walnut Springs Winery has a lot of other events coming up in February and March that are sure to be a great time as well!
On Saturday, February 22 from 1-3pm there is a Charcuterie Workshop where you can learn to create your very own charcuterie board which is paired with some of their best wines. Tickets to this event are $75 and this includes wine and food!
Additionally, on March 1 from 5-8pm, they are hosting a 1940’s Murder Mystery Dinner. When you attend this event, you become one of the characters and you are invited to solve a murder while having a delicious dinner. For this event, it’s recommended to dress to impress and come expecting to have a great time. This is a 21 and older event and tickets do not include your wine. Tickets are $42 and can be purchased here. You need to call prior to the event if you have any allergies they should be aware of. There is a similar 1920’s Murder Mystery Dinner on March 7 from 6-9 that is also $42.
If you’re looking for something other than charcuterie board workshops and murder mystery parties, they have a Candlemaking Workshop Sunday, March 9 from 2-5pm that includes wine and candle making for $25 a ticket. Walnut Springs Winery truly has a multitude of upcoming events to choose from.
