Ages: 3-11 (Preschool-5th grade)

The Knoxville Montessori School is a nonprofit private school that provides high-quality Montessori education for children from 3 years old through 5th grade. Founded in 1966, KMS is widely recognized for its nurturing environment, high academic standards, experienced teaching staff, and diverse student body.

Following the Montessori method, KMS students work at their own pace, individually and in small groups, using a variety of hands-on materials that build critical physical and intellectual skills and help them move naturally into more advanced academic work

This process encourages students to take responsibility for their own learning, and it nurtures independence, curiosity, creativity, and teamwork skills – all of which are critical for future success in our rapidly changing 21st-century world.
