Chesterton Academy is a joyful, rigorous Catholic high school where teenagers rediscover wonder, friendship, and the freedom of an unhurried mind.
About us: Chesterton Academy of Saint Margaret Clitherow is a new classical Catholic high school in the Knoxville area, part of the national Chesterton Schools Network of more than 60 schools across North America. We offer a four-year integrated curriculum grounded in the great books, Latin, logic, theology, fine arts, and the natural sciences. We teach these subjects the way the human mind actually learns, with discussion, beauty, and meaning at the center.
What makes Chesterton different? Our students don’t carry phones during the school day. They sing, sketch, debate, and read real books together. They put on plays, hike, paint, and pray. They graduate as confident young adults who can think clearly, write well, defend their faith, and step into any college or vocation with their humanity intact.
We welcome families from all backgrounds, who want a high school that takes both faith and intellect seriously. Tours and shadow days are available year-round.
Ages served: Grades 9–12
Areas served: Knoxville, Oak Ridge, Farragut, Maryville, Lenoir City, and surrounding communities
