Friday nights at our house are movie nights. We pick out a family flick to watch together and order pizza for dinner. Papa Murphy’s was the pizza paired with last Friday’s feature.
Let me take just a moment to explain to you how Papa Murphy’s works just in case you aren’t familiar with them. There are several locations throughout Knoxville. You can call to place your order ahead of time or just show up and order on the spot. You’ll walk out with a freshly prepared pizza to take home and bake. Last Friday I ran out with my daughter to pick up a gourmet vegetarian pizza (our favorite), a seasonal Jack-o-Lantern pizza, and some other goodies. I brought our pizzas home to bake, and in no time we had made from scratch pizza to enjoy with our movie. Once you try them, you may never want delivery again. The crust bakes up nice and fluffy and the ingredients are deliciously fresh.
The kids loved the Jack-o-Lantern pizza, and it really was a perfect meal option for an October movie night. Dessert can get festive too with Papa Murphy’s Spooky Cookie Dough.
Although we’ve been big fans of Papa Murphy’s pizza for years, I learned something new about them the other day. They have these fantastic Mini Murph Pizza Kits for kids!
Each kit comes with all the ingredients for the kids to make and bake their own personal pizza. Wouldn’t several of these be great for a pizza party?! They are also perfect to pick-up when you are looking for a fun afternoon activity to try with your kids. Grab some of these, take them home, and let the cooking begin! I’m always a big fan of getting the kids involved in the cooking. It’s educational for them and a great opportunity for everyone to spend quality time together.
Whether you are entertaining a large group for a fall party or just enjoying a quiet evening at home with family, Papa Murphy’s pizzas are a perfect option.
The Jack-O-Lantern Pizza is $8 (for a large) and made with freshly-grated cheese, premium pepperoni slices, and a few yummy black olives, arranged to resemble a Jack-O-Lantern’s face. Jack-O-Lantern Pizza takes 12-18 minutes to bake at home. This spooky treat is available at all 8 Knoxville area locations NOW through Halloween.
We recommend getting your pizza on Thursday (for Halloween – which is on a Friday), as we will be very busy on Friday. The Jack-O will still be perfectly delicious in the fridge for one night, AND you won’t be running around on Friday trying to get dinner before trick-or-treating. 🙂
