Quick, Easy, and Delicious Peach Cobbler Recipe

3

One of my favorite things about summertime is all the amazing fresh fruit that is available. My fridge is stocked full right now and I’m loving it!! You can check out our post about the local farms where you can pick your own fruit too. Since I was born and raised in the South I normally eat my fruit fresh off the vine (yes, I’ve eaten it without washing it, too!), but every now and then I like a good dessert too. So what’s better than combing the two?!

It’s a favorite of mine because #1 its super easy, and #2 it’s DELICIOUS!! You can make this with any fresh fruit (or pie filling if you can’t get your hands on the fresh stuff). I usually choose peaches, and the juicier the better!!

Here’s what you’ll need:
1 Stick of Butter (Paula Dean would be so proud)
1 Cup of Self-Rising Flour
1 Cup of Sugar
1 Cup of Milk
Fruit/Pie Filling – I usually go heavy on the fruit (2-3cups)

When I use peaches, I peal and slice them, then place them in the refrigerator for about an hour. I also add a little bit of sugar on top to get them even sweeter. You can do this for longer if you need, even the day before, and they’ll be even sweeter when it comes time to bake the cobbler!!

Now you’re ready to start:

Melt the butter in the pan you’re going to be baking in, then mix the remaining ingredients.

Pour into your baking dish (with the butter)
Bake at 400F until done with fork (this usually takes about 30 minutes depending on thickness of the cobbler).

ENJOY!!

Quick and easy and delicious!

  1. This is the same recipe I use, but I go lighter on the fruit since the juicy/buttery bread (cobbler?) is my favorite. šŸ™‚
