More on the on-site DIY service projects: Being the week of 9/11, we will be honoring the service men and women in our local community. We will have 3 DIY service projects revolving around this population. Project 1 is Holiday Mail for Heroes; volunteers will create holiday cards that will be mailed to deployed men and women. Project 2 is Birthday Cards for Vets; volunteers will create birthday cards that will be delivered to vets at the Ben Atchley Center and the VA Hospital. Project 3 is Hygiene Kits for Homeless Vets; volunteers will help assemble hygiene kits to be distributed to homeless veterans in the community at the Armory, in collaboration with Remote Area Medical (RAM).
*The first 500 attendees that create a Volunteer Knoxville account will receive an exciting give-away!*
