Now more than ever, the food truck scene in Knoxville is booming. There are more than 100 food trucks open for business on any day of the week. Whether you’re a foodie or a family just looking for a fun new dinner spot, you’ve come to the right place. Knoxville Moms asked family, friends and contributors for their favorite food trucks. We’ve put together this list of their favs ranging from burgers and barbecue to tacos and sushi and everything in between. This burger truck bills itself as the “abridged” version of the popular Abridged Beer Company. You’ll find smash style burgers made of a beef brisket blend that’s ground in-house and served up on potato rolls. Abridged Burger serves up some of the same burgers people have grown to love at Abridged Beer plus some new thing as well. You can find the truck all day on Saturdays & Sundays at Xul Beer Company.

B’s Bites is new on the Knoxville food truck scene but its already gained quite a following. The truck prides itself on serving homemade eats with a twist. The menu includes wings, tacos and more. Blackie Chan’s called the former 35 North in Farragut home, but now this truck is hitting the road to communities in and around Knoxville. Chick-N-Sack is home to great southern-style deep fried chicken seasoned with the popular K-Town Krack wing dust. This food truck covers a lot of ground. It travels to LaFollette and Lenoir City and everything in between! The truck updates its calendar on the Chick-N-Sack Facebook page.

CJ’s Tacos was voted the best food truck by Knoxville’s Cityview Magazine. Fans agree with that honor as well as the truck’s motto “Tacos will never be the same!” Chef Chris Jones says the difference is his pan-fry taco shells and fresh ingredients. CJ’s Tacos has not one, but two food trucks and now a sit-down restaurant on Gay Street in downtown Knoxville. You can keep track of it all on the CJ’s Tacos website.

SouthSide Garage is a new food truck park and bar in the South Landing area of South Knoxville. There is a large selection of local craft beers, a rotation of food trucks and a family-friendly space complete with large patios and patio games. In addition to the rotating food trucks, there is a resident food truck. Oakwood BBQ serves Tennessee barbecue with Southwestern flair, serving prime beef-centric BBQ. Oakwood’s hours of operation are Tuesday-Friday 5:00pm-10:00pm and Saturday-Sunday 12:00pm-10:00pm.
