Farragut Book Fest for Children will be on Saturday, April 7, 10 AM – 1 PM.
Sponsored by the Farragut Arts Council and the Knoxville News Sentinel, the 11th Farragut Book Fest for Children is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at Founders Park at Campbell Station. The first 400 children will receive a free coloring book and crayons.
Book Fest offers an array of activities throughout the day, from storytelling to book signings to music to art activities. Bright Star Touring Theatre will also perform. As a literary festival, reading and learning are the primary objectives of this free, family-friendly event. Children have one-on-one interaction with authors, and authors have the opportunity to showcase their work. Children are encouraged to dress up as their favorite storybook character.
In conjunction with this event, the Friends of the Knox County Library will host a used book sale at the Farragut Branch on Friday and Saturday, April 6 and 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Farragut Book Fest for Children is free and open to the public. Limited parking will be available at Founders Park at Campbell Station; additional parking will be available at Farragut Assembly of God, located across the street from the park on Campbell Station Road.
