If you truly care about you children health, this is the place you should consider for your child. This is a relatively small 9am-2pm preschool that is for 3-5 years old children. My two youngest children attended this wonderful place, and the only thing I can say – THANK YOU! Total, we had 3 years long experience with this school, and during all this time, our children never got virus/bacteria from school. Yes, most of the times, they will not let you bring in a child who coughs or has runny nose, but you can feel safe – only healthy children will be around your child there. It is important if in your family, you have seniors or more children that you care about. Also, in cold weather, they will not let children go outside without appropriate clothes on. They preserve child’s health. Daily, children spend 5 hours in school, and every hour is full of learning opportunities, fun, and creative activities. The number and the quality of crafts that children bring home every day is very impressive! Teachers are absolutely incredible, especially, Mrs. Lindsay (3 years old group). They really love children, and they truly care about children! Parents and children love this place! We have a big experience with different preschools, but this one is definitely exceptional!

Knoxville Moms, I have a gift for you!
Hey y’all, my name is Kendall Shields and I am a senior student at The University of Tennessee. Throughout my 4 years at UT, I have been lucky enough to have been mentored by some amazing women in the Knoxville area, many of whom have had young children. Therefore, I have gotten to see first-hand, how hard it can be to schedule those girlfriend lunch-dates, coffee chats, women’s bible studies, or even just a few hours alone to get some work done with those cute little distractions by your side.
I would love nothing more than to lift this burden for you, Mom! I am offering my childcare services, free of charge, in order to open up space for those life-giving conversations and restful reunions you deserve.
A little bit about me!
- I am from Austin, TX, and may still have a slight allegiance to my longhorns (oops!)
- I just finished up my swimming career at UTK, so let me know if your kiddos could use some swimming lessons this spring!
- I have many years of experience in KIDS ministry at my local churches and have spent countless hours babysitting some dear family and friends.
- I am graduating in May with a degree in Management and Data Analytics, and will be getting married in October!
If you are interested, the best way to reach me is either via text or email. I am available between 11am and 2pm on weekdays and on weekends. I look forward to introducing myself more formally as well as meeting your little ones soon :).

My name is Karen Vacaliuc, and I am a birth doula, connecting families through birth. I offer doula services in the Anderson, Knox, Morgan, and Roane Counties. I am passionate about mothers, babies, and family. I also have a deep desire to empower women through positive experiences of pregnancy, labor, and childbirth.
I know that the support I can give to mothers-to-be and their partners, during pregnancy and childbirth, can help make their experience less stressful, more informed, more comfortable, and more satisfying. One quote that I have read before stays with me. “The motherhood ideal is impossible to achieve because it ignores reality. Babies don’t need super mothers, they just need good mothers.” (author unknown) In working together with families, I hope to create a more healthy and satisfying approach to family dynamics in its early stages.
