Christmas Lights Spectacular Growing Larger in Loudon

0

This year a new venue means thousands more lights for the Muddy Creek Christmas show. You may have been one of the many to visit Muddy Creek Christmas Lights in Lenoir City to see the annual animated Halloween and Christmas displays. This year, creator Jacob Burris has expanded his popular show once again. The display has gotten so large that Burris needed to find another venue. The LoCo Drive-In in Loudon proved to be the perfect spot for expansion.

This year, visitors will see almost 200,000 lights compared to 61,000 last year, eight fog machines and concert style moving heads all set to music. Guests can watch the show in their vehicles or sit in the special viewing area complete with patio heaters.  In addition, Christmas movies will accompany the lights. Check the LoCo Drive-In Facebook page for the latest movie schedule.  That’s not the only big change for Muddy Creek Christmas Lights this year. It is now a non-profit organization. There will be a $20 admission per car. All the proceeds will go to different charities in the Knoxville/Loudon County area. The Christmas show runs nightly from 6:00pm until 11:00pm from Friday, November 17th to Monday, January 1st. For the latest on the Christmas display, visit the Muddy Creek Christmas Lights Facebook page.
