Countdown to Light the Park and Celebrate the Season

Get into the spirit of the season at Countdown to Light the Park, presented by TDS and hosted by Shop Farragut. Festivities are 5:30-7pm on Monday, November 27, at Founders Park at Campbell Station.

Light the Park in Farragut

Enjoy refreshments and entertainment from local performers as a member of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen flips the giant switch to light the park with tens of thousands of lights. A special guest will make a surprise appearance! Plus, new this year, kids can drop letters to Santa into a giant decorative mailbox.

Parking is available across the street from the park, courtesy of Westgate Christian Fellowship. The sheriff’s department will be on hand to assist those crossing Campbell Station Road.

Sponsors to date include SouthEast Bank, Costco Wholesale, First Watch, TN Bank and Josh Hemphill State Farm Agent. Find updates on performers, refreshments and additional sponsors at farragutbusiness.com. The event is free and will be held rain or shine.

Light the Park continues through Monday, January 1. Park restrooms stay open until 10pm each evening (except Decemeber 25) while the holiday lights are on.

Meet Santa, Enjoy Holiday Fun at Celebrate the Season

The Farragut Beautification Committee will present Celebrate the Season, now in its 24th year, from 4:30-7pm Thursday, December 7, at Farragut Town Hall. The community is invited to enjoy beautiful Town Hall holiday decorations while participating in free fun for the whole family.

Celebrate the Season will feature photos with Santa beginning at 4:30pm with the final number for photos handed out at 6pm. There will also be musical performances, cookie decorating, crafts for kids and Farragut Museum tours.

Digital Santa photos will be available for purchase on a designated photo website. Instructions for viewing and ordering photos will be given to parents that evening. Parents are also welcome to take photos with their personal cameras.

Farragut Town Hall is located at 11408 Municipal Center Drive across from the Farragut branch post office. For more information about Celebrate the Season, visit townoffarragut.org or contact Arleen Higginbotham at [email protected] or 218-3375.
