STEAMventures Around the Globe | Suitable for rising 2nd and 3rd graders
Pack your curiosity and set out on a global STEAM adventure! In this exciting camp, we will explore science, technology, engineering, and math through the lens of cultures and innovations from around the world. Each day will feature hands-on activities, experiments, and challenges that celebrate the wonders of STEM across continents.

General Camp Info: 

  • Each camp is designed to be age-appropriate. Your child will be unregistered from camp if they are out of the age range.
  • 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM daily. Drop off no earlier than 8:30 AM. Pick up at 2:30 PM. A late fee of $10.00 will be charged for pick up after 2:45 PM.
  • Full-week camps: Members $235/Non Members $275.
  • One camp T-shirt will be provided for each camper. You can request an extra shirt [$15] when registering.
  • Every day, campers will need 2 snacks, a lunch, and a water bottle. Please label all of your campers’ belongings.
  • Indoor and outdoor activities are conducted daily (weather permitting), and play-appropriate footwear is required.

Welcome to Tate’s Day Camp – Home of the Fun Professionals. Our 54-acre campus is located on N. Cedar Bluff Road in West Knoxville. This leadership-based training program is designed for today’s high school students who seek challenging opportunities through hands-on experiences that can immediately be applied to “real life” situations. The goal of the CIT program is to provide opportunities for high schoolers to develop skills in multiple areas including personal, interpersonal, and professional. During camps at Ijams, children experience the joy and wonder of nature through outdoor adventures, all while making friends, singing songs, and playing games! Camps for children run weekly for 8 weeks over the summer from 8 AM to 3 PM, with extended care available until 5 PM. Through exploration and play, campers learn about the connections between land, plants, animals, and humans that nurture healthy communities.

Preschool Camp gives kids ages 3-5 time for child-led, age-appropriate, experiential learning, with most of the day spent outdoors exploring nature. Summers on the lake are a great way to spend a childhood – or a lifetime. Sailing is a wonderfully environmental way of enjoying our waterways here in East TN. And whether you’re cruising down the lake with a family picnic or competing for Olympic gold, the mechanics of sailing are always the same.  Our summer youth Sail Camp offers a fun and informal setting for children ages 8-16 to learn how to sail and be safe on the water.

Now celebrating our 32nd year, we offer four one-week sessions running June 2-27. Students are divided into fleets by age and experience. Our US Sailing certified instructors tailor all classes to the skill level of the group, whether first-timer or advanced racer. New students are usually up and sailing on their own the very first day. The warm and protected waters of Fort Loudoun Lake offer the ideal setting for learning to sail and just having fun on the water.

Fun and tennis fundamentals help campers grades 1st — 8th develop their tennis and sport skills. Campers receive instruction on the fundamentals of all major strokes with drills and play to enhance their tennis skills, movement, and fitness. Our camp program is designed for all abilities with the emphasis on participation, improvement, effort and team play. Cedar Bluff Racquet Clubs highly qualified coaching staff, USPTA certified tennis pros, are ready to help develop your child’s tennis game. A fun, safe, and positive experience while making new friends.

SNACKS PROVIDED
Campers should bring racket (club can provide a racket if needed) & water each day
All camps will be indoors at CBRC

UT Gardens is excited to host another year of summer camp! Each week has a fun, unique theme, so register for the week(s) that suits you best. Campers will take home their own plants, taste foods grown in our Gardens, and play all while exploring and learning in our State Botanical Garden. Great Smokies ExperienceGreat Smokies Experience

The Great Smokies Experience is an introductory college experience that is coordinated by expert instructors from Maryville College, The Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont, and Mountain Challenge.  Students will get a hands-on experience learning about the complex relationship between social and environmental systems while kayaking down the Little River, living in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, hiking to the summit of Mount Le Conte, and much more! Participants who successfully complete this program will earn credit for a three-hour Introduction to Environmental Issues and Sustainability Studies (ENV/SUS 101) class from Maryville College that is transferable to other colleges.  Come join us for this one-of-a-kind educational program in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park!
