A children’s bushcrafting experience in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains. Located 45 miles northeast of Knoxville, our farmstead, Blackberry Creek, is hosting an immersive experience for children ages 6-13. For one week, July 22nd – 26th, we will dive deep into homestead, naturalist and survival skills including edible plant foraging, shelter building, herbal medicine making, tracking, cordage making and basket weaving. The camp will also include science, art, rhythm and body and emotional awareness. This camp is an extension of our Farm & Forest School program under our educational outreach arm – G.R.O.W (Gathering Roots of Wisdom). It runs from 10am – 3pm. We welcome children who are neuro, emotionally or physically- diverse!
At the same time as the children’s camp, our resident Naturopath, Dr. Rachel Hess is offering classes for anyone aged 14 and up to learn natural healing remedies in her “Healer in the Home” series. Email us with any questions at [email protected]
