A Knoxville Family’s Guide to January 2025

It’s a new year and time for new family adventures! This January is full of fun activities that will appeal to a wide range of interests. For basketball lovers and Vol fans, you can cheer on both the men’s and women’s Tennessee teams. Both have several home games at Thompson-Boling Arena in January. Start your engines for a thrilling night of monster trucks at “Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Glow-N-Fire.” Little monster truck fans will be revved up to see real-life versions of some of the famous Hot Wheels monster truck toys. LEGO lovers will be wowed at the “BrickUniverse LEGO Fan Event.” Attendees will meet professional LEGO artists from around the country, explore incredible LEGO creations and have a chance to build their very own LEGO masterpiece. ChocolateFest returns to Knoxville with an unforgettable day of delicious chocolate, candy and treats. Opt for a VIP tasting pass to enjoy it all! You can start the near year on the right foot with a special “Dark Skies Hike” at Sevens Islands State Birding Park. Join a park ranger for a guided walk to watch the sunset, look for nocturnal wildlife and view the constellations. Advanced registration is required.
