The Episcopal School of Knoxville is a co-educational, independent day school offering Junior Kindergarten through Eighth grade. ESK’s Junior Kindergarten program is an academic program designed for 3 and 4 year olds. The Jr. K 4 program is 5 days per week and the Jr. K 3 program offers a 3 (T, W, Th) or 5 day option. My name is Kari Lapins and I have taught Suzuki Violin and Viola lessons to students of all ages and abilities, beginning at age 3, since 2004. I hold a Masters Degree in Suzuki Pedagogy (registered Every Child Can, Suzuki Violin Books 1-10, and Suzuki Principles in Action with the Suzuki Association of the Americas) and Violin Performance from Northern Arizona University. I offer weekly individual lessons and monthly group and Music Mind Games classes, as well as performance opportunities and elective classes. I believe in teaching each individual child in a nurturing learning environment and celebrating with them as they gain new knowledge and skills. In keeping with the Suzuki philosophy, I believe that Every Child Can learn to play the violin!
