Providing holistic postpartum care for new mothers locally in Knoxville, TN, and virtually anywhere! The first 40 days postpartum are sacred and women deserve time to rest, heal, and recover, and they need support all around them during this transitional time. Many challenges may come up with soothing, feeding, sleeping, and just normalizing newborn life and motherhood. Pam Sutton nurtures and empowers mothers by holding space and offering essential resources to learn, grow and thrive as a new family.

Bethany Sams is a natural light photographer who specializes in Birth, Maternity, Lifestyle Newborn and modern Family portraiture. Bethany is inspired by beautiful light and the simple joys of life. Her goal is to capture authentic, beautiful images that will tell the unique story of your family. Sessions with Bethany are fun and relaxed and have an emphasis on the connections shared between family members. Styling services are also available to ease the stress of what to wear and to help you and your family look your best.

Rowe Reads offers literacy instruction in both small group and one-on-one sessions in a fun and engaging way!  Students of all ages and ability levels welcome!  Currently enrolling for virtual literacy classes for the 2020-2021 school year.
Dr. Katie Rowe has over 15 years experience in education in a variety settings (elementary, middle, college).  Her focus is in literacy education and her PhD. specialization is in children and young adult literature, so she knows books and writing!  Email Dr. Katie to discuss the best option for your child!

Knoxville Moms, I have a gift for you!

Hey y’all, my name is Kendall Shields and I am a senior student at The University of Tennessee. Throughout my 4 years at UT, I have been lucky enough to have been mentored by some amazing women in the Knoxville area, many of whom have had young children. Therefore, I have gotten to see first-hand, how hard it can be to schedule those girlfriend lunch-dates, coffee chats, women’s bible studies, or even just a few hours alone to get some work done with those cute little distractions by your side.

I would love nothing more than to lift this burden for you, Mom! I am offering my childcare services, free of charge, in order to open up space for those life-giving conversations and restful reunions you deserve.

A little bit about me! 

• I am from Austin, TX, and may still have a slight allegiance to my longhorns (oops!)
• I just finished up my swimming career at UTK, so let me know if your kiddos could use some swimming lessons this spring! 
• I have many years of experience in KIDS ministry at my local churches and have spent countless hours babysitting some dear family and friends. 
• I am graduating in May with a degree in Management and Data Analytics, and will be getting married in October!

I began my journey of caring for families during their transition into parenthood after spending more than a decade studying childbirth, caring for friends and family, and having my own four children. I truly respect and honor the process of childbirth, and I’m passionate about helping families blossom and grow as they set sail on their own journey of transformation. As a birth doula, I’m committed to providing individual support in a non-judgmental and unconditional way for each family I serve.

Services I offer include Birth Doula, Birth Pool Rentals, Placenta Encapsulation, Bengkung Belly Binding & Childbirth Education Class.

The BreedArts School of Art and Dance offers movement classes, art classes, and a new Homeschool Co-op, for youth, ages 4-13, for a Fall, Spring, and Summer Season. This program will introduce children to a world of movement including ballet, modern dance, improvisation, choreography, hip hop, tap, and yoga; high quality art technique and instruction; and a supportive, inspiring, and warm community.

Introducing the Downtown Knoxville Homeschool Co-op!!!

For children ages 7-14

Join us every Monday, 9:30am-3:00pm. We meet at various locations, mostly outdoors at parks, farms, and for field trips specific to our lessons.

Amelia Breed teaches Art, Yoga/Movement/Sports, and a Social Studies period with an environmental, ethical, and/or animal theme. We also provide a period for independent study where students work on curriculum brought from home.

Double Dogs is a family-friendly restaurant with a sports atmosphere. Its menu includes a variety of appetizers, sandwiches, hot dogs, burgers and pizza.

In case you’re wondering about the name, it was inspired by the owner’s two beloved dogs, Bo and Chancey.
